BR&E Program (Business Retention & Expansion)
The Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) Program drives the economic efforts in the City of Ferris. Existing businesses are able to provide important information on the local business climate. It is through this that we are able to assist companies within the city with Business Planning, Identify Expansion Possibilities, Assess Current Business Challenges, and Determine Our Local Economic Climate.
The BR&E Program's three-fold purpose is to:
-
Identify key advantages and challenges to growth for existing businesses;
-
Recommend improvement strategies for business, educators, and staff within the City of Ferris, Department of Economic Development; and
-
Promote a platform for the City of Ferris to record perceptions of business executives about the business climate.
Overall, the program assists with long-term planning, including identifying common issues and trends, strategic planning, and policy articulation. The City of Ferris, Department of Economic Development uses this data to enhance supply chains, evaluate current legislation, and actively gauge our communities' current status and levels of competitiveness.
