Citizen's Police Academy


The fourth class of the Ferris Police Academy started today at the Ferris Intermediate School. Participants of the class will attend one night a week for six weeks and will learn the ins and outs of how the Police Department works as well as many other topics about law enforcement and the City of Ferris. The class was kicked off by welcome speeches from Mayor Micheal Driggars and City Manager Bill Jordan. In addition to the participants, the class was attended by former Citizen's Police Academy Graduates including Jim Swafford, Alderman Place 4 of the Ferris City Council.
