Boil Water Order Lifted
The City of Ferris boil water order is officially lifted as of May 31, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Samples sent to a third party laboratory have tested safe for consumption. All Ferris Water customers may use their water for drinking and all other purposes.
A boil water order had previously been in place due to a loss of pressure in the water system. Customers with questions may contact the Ferris Water Department at 972-842-2752.
On 05-27-2019, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system City of Ferris, PWS ID 07000002 to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.
Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/ or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of 05-31-2019.
If you have questions, contact Michael Hamilton at 972-842-2752.
If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
